Ok, so you're wondering in a game that allows players to use TeamSpeak or Ventrilo, why not use them?
Sure, sure your team can be more coordinated and calculated...

But do you really want to find out that Sausaletus Rex is actually a 12 year old kid who hasn't hit puberty yet?

I mean honestly, I've played CS and been amazed at the teenage boys that sound like girls, or the Bevis and Butthead clones, uh huh huh...

Or possibly that hot chick you've been grouping with and you finally decide to stop cybering her with text and talk with TeamSpeak, only to find out that you're daydreams are shattered and Ms. Right is actually Bob, a retired oil excecutive in Texas?

I say think before you doom yourself to a world of high pitched voices and enough swearing to make a nun blush!!

If you have a close friend, a pluged in cell phone works wonders. You will see as the game progresses, you will find people of like mind to play with.

the server we (the Harpers) use for TS is 18 and over(there rules) so If Rex is only 12 then he would get kicked... I have used TS for many games and fing it much better than typing As you can tell from many of my post I am not the best Typist or speller for that matter

And that is here where I have all the time in the world to type and edit. In game I am almost Illegible some times. So if I want to play and have fun and noy die all the time because I am spell checking in Word I am almost forced to use TS. But that is just me and my two cents . Move along nothing more to see here

I can't say as though i've ever had this problem, but then again.. I just stick to our Guild's Vent server. There tend to be a lot of really, really weird conversations - but for the most part, everyone has a good time.

I've gotten a few people from the site here on Vent... and for the most part, everyone sounds the way that you would expect them to. The only real exception to this is Ensign, whose voice is simply too deep and manly to ever really be a lesbian schoolgirl.

i like TS, i ahve met lots of people i consider friends online..and TS is a step closer to them...most of which are around my age,...21+ so yeah i like it

I've used Ventrilo with my clan in Jedi Academy, and I can vouch for very odd conversations

It is nice if everyone uses it for the common good, but where the fun in that, eh?

Last time I checked, 15+ year olds have a mature voice too. Why is it 18+?

I love Teamspeak

Sometimes it's just easier to fire away orders over the headset rather than type everything out. Luckily, everyone in my guild is mature so I don't have to put up with none of the l33t speak.

Will continue to use Teamspeak to keep in touch with my college buddies as well!
